Brilliant visit for a relaxing getaway! Stayed for two nights over New Year. Staff were friendly, room was really nice with a comfy bed as well as tea/coffee etc. Beautiful setting in an idyllic pub. The food was lovely, very reasonably priced and just what you want from a country pub! You cannot help but relax here. I would definitely visit again.

Works Christmas Meal & Drinks Fantastic Christmas food and atmosphere, highly recommend this place for any occasion. We've returned for Christmas drinks too and they were very accomodating as we didn't book.

Simply praise - and thanks The highlight of a lunchtime visit has to be the food. From a sensible number of menu choices, each with an interesting 'twist', our meals had to be amongst the best we have had at a pub. Well prepared, beautifully presented and delicious. Congratulations to all involved. Welcomed by attentive and friendly staff, log fires added to the ambiance in the separate restaurant area. Though not local to us, we shall certainly return.

Super friendly waiting staff and fab food We called in without a booking and it looked busy. But we were immediately accommodated without fuss. Service was prompt, very friendly and personal. We were made to feel special and welcome. All our dishes were excellent and gluten free meals were readily available. The surroundings were cosy and traditional. I can heartily recommend a meal at this pub!

A great stay Coming in from the US, my wife and I spent three nights at the beginning our our South Downs Way walk to ensure we had time to get our day 2 tests completed properly. Mark and his staff have done a fantastic job keeping this inn operating at a very high level during all of this difficult period. My many thanks to them all and highly recommended!

A great find! Great family lunch! Food very fresh, very tasty and plentiful! Friendly and attentive staff. A great pub in the country!

Great rural pub The room appeared fairly recently decorated and was a comfortable bed with a really good shower en suite. Staff were friendly and professional as at times. Food at breakfast & evening were really good. No dedicated car park but whilst we were there little problem parking on the road or lane alongside the pub.

Wonderful Stayed the night just ahead of our cruise - and loved it! Slightly off the beaten track, but worth finding - and not really too far away from Southampton. Rooms in the converted stable block are unique, super clean and comfortable. Food (both dinner and breakfast) was wonderful. A nice welcome and friendly staff made this a night to remember.
